Aqaba
Aqaba (Arabic: العقبة, Al-ʻAqabah) is a coastal town in the far south of Jordan and Palestine (now under occupation - area called Elat by the Occupiers). It is strategically important to Jordan as it is the country's only seaport.
Surrounding the Gulf of Aqaba is Aqaba, Jordan; Elat of Palestine; Aqaba of Saudi Arabia as well as the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt.
Further South of the Gulf of Aqaba towards Sharm al-Sheikh is the Suez Canal.
